A lot of DJ's and photographers have bought inexpensive make-shift photo booths to offer as an add-on to their services and they do offer big discounts when you rent one with their main service.  However, like everything in life you get what you pay for.  Some important questions to ask anyone you are thinking of hiring for photo booths are: 

"Do you have back up equipment?" If not I would definitely not use them for a photo booth rental. After all, would a photographer or videographer not bring an extra camera.  I don't think so.

"Does everyone that goes in the booth get a strip?"  If you don't get instant reprints then only one person gets a strip and one goes in the scrapbook. 

"Do you offer a second machine for larger receptions?" Even with our actual Photo Booths, which are without argument the best and fastest on the market, we suggest a second for receptions of 200 people or more because the line will get long.    

"Is your booth fast enough for all my guests to make a scrapbook strip?"  You don't want some of your guests left out of the scrapbook because of slower make-shift booths if you are having a large reception.
